Chambers hadn't done well against North Mecklenburg recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chambers Cougars managed a 75-70 win over the North Mecklenburg Vikings. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chambers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Markus Kerr, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Tarris Bouie III was another key player, dropping a double-double with 24 points and ten boards.

Chambers' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.6 points over those games. As for North Mecklenburg, their loss ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 24-3.
