Baseball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Andrew Cardinals. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Albany saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Cline, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Cline has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Trevor Akins was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Albany now has a losing record of 6-7. As for North Andrew, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Coincidentally, Albany and North Andrew will both be playing Stanberry the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Warriors will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
