Volleyball Recap: Compton Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woodrow Wilson, Compton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Centennial Apaches 3-0. For the Tarbabes, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Apaches walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2025.

The win didn't come easy: Centennial scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.

Compton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Compton will face off against Long Beach Poly at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centennial, they will challenge Santa Monica at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
