Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Catholic Knights vs. Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers

St. Joseph's Catholic is 1-9 against Christ Church Episcopal since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The St. Joseph's Catholic Knights will square off against the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, St. Joseph's Catholic came up short against Powdersville and fell 56-44.

Meanwhile, Christ Church Episcopal was able to grind out a solid victory over Palmetto on Friday, taking the game 54-47. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 154th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christ Church Episcopal is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

St. Joseph's Catholic came up short against Christ Church Episcopal in their previous meeting back in January, falling 48-43. Can St. Joseph's Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
