Basketball Game Preview: Bayonne Bees vs. Hudson Catholic Hawks

Bayonne is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Hudson Catholic is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bees will host the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Bayonne didn't have too much trouble with Memorial as they won 73-56. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bees' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Tigers are ranked 146th).

Meanwhile, Hudson Catholic was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past North Bergen 69-26. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Hudson Catholic's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Bayonne, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

Bayonne couldn't quite finish off Hudson Catholic in their previous matchup back in January and fell 52-50. Can the Bees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
