Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Comes Up Short

Schuylerville lost against Glens Falls on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Horses fell just short of the Black Bears by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Horses have lost by just one run.

Alex Renner was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Warner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Schuylerville's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Glens Falls, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6-1.

Schuylerville and Glens Falls should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Horses will challenge Stillwater at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (72 vs. 441). Meanwhile, Glens Falls (ranked 149th) will meet Hudson Falls (ranked 342nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
