Softball Recap: El Dorado Wins Going Away Against Sunny Hills

El Dorado won the last time they faced Sunny Hills and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Hawks blew past the Lancers 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Golden Hawks, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Emily Yoon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jessica Cherms was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Renay Chavez was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

El Dorado's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Sunny Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, El Dorado and Sunny Hills will both be playing La Habra the next time they take the field. The Golden Hawks will host the Highlanders at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lancers will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
