Soccer Recap: Boone Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boone can now relate to. They fell just short of the Winter Park Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in December of 2024.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-3. As for Winter Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8-3 record this season.

Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter Park, they will face off against Timber Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Winter Park surely won't give up without a fight.
