Volleyball Recap: Windsor Warriors vs. South Windsor Bobcats
Windsor came into Monday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the South Windsor Bobcats 3-2. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
Windsor was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-99), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 14-25, 15-9.
Nathan Le paced Windsor's offense, picking up 15 kills. Le got some help from Maximilian Esquiagola Ayala and his 42 assists. Tucker Sanders controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Windsor's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for South Windsor, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will welcome Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Windsor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Hartford at 6:00 p.m.
