Baseball Recap: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Takes a Loss

Turkeyfoot Valley Area had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-4 to make it four. They came up short against the Blacklick Valley Vikings, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

As for Blacklick Valley, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games.

For Blacklick Valley's part, Drew McEvoy was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs McEvoy has posted since back in April of 2024. Shaun Silko also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Coming up, Turkeyfoot Valley Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Geibel Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Gators at the right time seeing as the Gators are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Blacklick Valley, they will take on Summit Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
