Baseball Game Preview: Crespi Celts vs. Gahr Gladiators

The Crespi Celts are taking a road trip to take on the Gahr Gladiators at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Crespi can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to Santa Margarita.

Meanwhile, Gahr hadn't done well against Santa Margarita recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Gladiators were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Eagles.

Jake Ourique looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Gahr got a massive performance out of Chris Vera, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Vera a new career-high in hits (two). Andres Gonzalez was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
