Volleyball Recap: Barrow Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Barrow and Valdez squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Barrow had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Whalers' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Barrow took Valdez into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 15-11.

Barrow's loss dropped their record down to 37-15-4. As for Valdez, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 45-12-1.

Barrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valdez has already played their next contest (against Monroe Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
