Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Diablo Red Devils vs. Concord Bears

Mt. Diablo is 0-8 against Concord since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will challenge the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mt. Diablo is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Northgate, falling 27-0.

Meanwhile, Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 9-1 to Miramonte. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Concord saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Tougeron, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Tony Hoshida also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Mt. Diablo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Concord, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
