Volleyball Recap: Rochelle Comes Up Short

Rochelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on October 2nd.

Rochelle was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23.

LaSalle-Peru found their leader in freshman Aubrey Urbanski, who had eight assists and five digs.

Rochelle's loss dropped their record down to 14-19. As for LaSalle-Peru, their victory bumped their record up to 28-5.

Rochelle has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Ottawa on the 23rd. As for LaSalle-Peru, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kaneland on the 23rd.
