Football Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Valley's offense. They were outmatched by the Virgin Valley Bulldogs and fell 39-0. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Bulldogs are ranked sixth).

Davie Slack was her usual excellent self, throwing for 209 yards and five touchdowns for Virgin Valley. Slack has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last eight times she's played. 96 of Slack's passing yards were hauled in by Linita Kioa.

Valley dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Virgin Valley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Valley has already played their next matchup (against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Virgin Valley will host Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Virgin Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 39.9 points per game this season.
