League recap: Jacob's hot bat leads Union Grove

Brad Jacob was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .692 average with four RBIs. His Union Grove team went 3-1.

Ben Miller was the best pitcher in the league this week. His stat line for the week included one win and six Ks.

The Broncos' pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 27 hits and six walks, both of which led the league. Union Grove's pitchers have been charged with only 148 hits and have struck out 118 batters. Bart Bohat Jr. is tops on the staff with 34 Ks.

The Broncos scored a league-best 44 runs this week, adding to their league-leading 136 runs on the season. Union Grove's key hitters include Adam Filz, who has a team-high 24 runs, and Jacob, who leads the squad with with 22 RBIs.



The week's strikeout crown belonged to Kevin Draper, who turned in six Ks for Waterford. With 17 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks seventh in the league.

Jacob led the league with nine hits this week for the Broncos. His 31 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .443 batting average.
