Basketball Recap: Aiden Robinson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Rising Sun

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fallston walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Rising Sun Tigers with a sharp 67-45 win on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Tigers last Wednesday, they had to take a 56-55 loss.

Fallston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Robinson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 22 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Schamburg, who posted 22 points.

Fallston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Fallston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. Rising Sun is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Fallston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-60 defeat against C. Milton Wright on the 4th. Rising Sun does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
