Football Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Francis had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it four. They were beaten by the St. Joseph Lancers 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Lancers are ranked 45th).

Aero Smith threw for 112 yards and one TD. Corbin Hess was his top target, picking up 79 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Dorion Higgins rushed for 34 yards.

As for St. Joseph, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.2 points on average this season.

Zach Rizzo was his usual excellent self, throwing for 254 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 20 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August. St. Joseph's leading receiver Dominic Rinaldi was Rizzo's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards and one score.

As of now, neither St. Francis nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
