Softball Recap: Charleroi Comes Up Short

If Charleroi was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Mapletown last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Charleroi lost 10-2 to the Weir Red Riders on Tuesday.

Lyla Brunner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Charleroi now has a losing record of 1-2. Weir has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Charleroi will venture away from home to challenge Ringgold at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Weir, they will welcome North Marion at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Weir will need to watch out since North Marion has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
