Volleyball Recap: Troy Takes a Loss

Troy was the 2-1 winner over La Vernia when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Thursday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laney Stezer paced Troy's offense, picking up four kills. Stezer got some help from Aubree Brashear and her six assists.

Troy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for La Vernia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Troy has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Belton on the 14th. As for La Vernia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Leander on the 14th.
