Vail Mountain had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the North Park Wildcats on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Rangers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

North Park dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Vail Mountain will take on Roaring Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Park, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Grand at 5:30 p.m. on September 9. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
