Preview: Claremont Wolfpack vs. Pomona Red Devils
The Claremont Wolfpack's's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Pomona Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. on December 26th. Hopefully Claremont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, Claremont came up short against Alta Loma and fell 53-40. Claremont has struggled against Alta Loma recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Claremont saw an underclassman step up: Aarion Kennebrew scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Wang, who scored seven points.
Pomona can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garey 59-15 on the road. That 59-15 margin sets a new team best for Pomona this season.
Claremont bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pomona, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
