Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leesburg). They skirted past the Dr. Phillips Panthers 81-79. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Panthers are ranked 247th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leesburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Xavier Campbell out in front who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Campbell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Brown, who put up 22 points.

Leesburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Dr. Phillips, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Leesburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-40 defeat against Eustis on the 24th. Dr. Phillips has also already played their next game, a 71-68 loss against Master's Academy on the 25th.
