Basketball Recap: Notre Dame's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Battle, Notre Dame was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took down the Kennett Indians 71-54. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Kennett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyce Edwards went 16 for 28 en route to 38 points. Edwards' evening made it 40 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alaina Edwards, who posted three points.

The victory got Notre Dame back to even at 8-8. As for Kennett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Notre Dame will be playing at home against New Madrid County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennett, they will head out to face off against Portageville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
