Baseball Recap: Palmdale Comes Up Short

If Palmdale was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Eastside last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Highland Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 13-3. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Palmdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Mejia, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Palmdale's record is now 6-16. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Highland beat Palmdale by a score of 9-2 on Friday.
