Softball Recap: South Lamar Takes a Loss

South Lamar's last matchup with Sulligent could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Stallions came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 11-5. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

South Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sulligent, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Lamar will challenge Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sulligent, they will head out to face off against Hackleburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
