Baseball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Prep Hawks vs. Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls

The St. Joseph's Prep Hawks will take on the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games St. Joseph's Prep has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, it was close, but St. Joseph's Prep sidestepped Germantown Academy for a 3-2 victory.

St. Joseph's Prep got a great performance from Kieran Lodewick as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Lodewick a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, St. Joseph's Prep saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robby Grasso, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Archbishop Ryan was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 10-2 to La Salle College. The Raiders and Ragdolls have struggled against the Explorers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The win got St. Joseph's Prep back to even at 2-2. As for Archbishop Ryan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

St. Joseph's Prep couldn't quite finish off Archbishop Ryan in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can St. Joseph's Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
