Recap: The New Community School Sabers vs. Grove Christian School Falcons
The New Community School Sabers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Grove Christian School, falling 62-2. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for The New Community School in their matchups with Grove Christian School: they've now lost five in a row.
Grove Christian School found their leader in underclassman Emily Hopkins, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 steals. Hopkins is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sidney Fisher, who scored 6 points along with 14 rebounds and 5 assists.
The New Community School's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grove Christian School, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
The New Community School will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Guardian Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Grove Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against The Carmel School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
