Basketball Recap: Henderson Collegiate Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Henderson Collegiate kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 72-23 loss at the hands of the Franklin Academy Patriots. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Semar Isreal and Jamarion Marcus certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Isreal posted 17 points, while Marcus put up five points and five rebounds.

Henderson Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-12 win against Cristo Rey Research Triangle on the 7th. As for Franklin Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-36 victory against Durham Flight HomeSchool on the 7th.
