Softball Recap: Ooltewah Takes a Loss

Ooltewah scored first but ultimately less than Bradley Central in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 9-8. The Owls have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Kaylin Leblanc was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilli Newell, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Ooltewah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Bradley Central, they pushed their record up to 6-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Ooltewah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-5 win against Harriman on the 22nd. As for Bradley Central, they have also already played their next match, a 12-2 loss against Girls Prep on the 21st.
