Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain View Vikings vs. El Monte Lions

The Mountain View Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the El Monte Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Mountain View and 11 for El Monte.

Mountain View came up short against Marshall on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when El Monte took on Rosemead on Wednesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Panthers.

El Monte took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-12.

El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Mountain View skirted past El Monte 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
