Baseball Game Preview: Mapleton Mounties vs. St. Paul Flyers

For the second straight game, Mapleton will face off against St. Paul. The Mounties will square off against the Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mapleton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against St. Paul on Monday. They lost 9-2 to the Flyers. The loss continues a trend for the Mounties in their meetings with the Flyers: they've now lost three in a row.

For St. Paul's part, the team relied heavily on Jacob Zuccaro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The Flyers are 4-1 when Zuccaro posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Isaac Kalizewski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Mapleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Paul, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
