Basketball Game Preview: Charleston Collegiate Sundevils vs. Dorchester Academy Raiders

The Charleston Collegiate Sundevils will face off against the Dorchester Academy Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Charleston Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Charleston Collegiate strolled past Palmetto Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 49-35.

It was another big night for Grant Morrison, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points along with eight assists and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last 22 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Reed, who went 6 of 14 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Dorchester Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 victory over the Raiders.

Dorchester Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Charleston Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Charleston Collegiate beat Dorchester Academy 71-59 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charleston Collegiate since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
