Volleyball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pine Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of South Johnston. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pine Forest of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Pine Forest wouldn't go down easily and took South Johnston into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 21-25, 20-25, 16-14.

Pine Forest has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Garner on the 21st. As for South Johnston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Harnett Central on the 21st.
