Softball Recap: Litchfield Comes Up Short

Litchfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the New London-Spicer Wildcats, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-9 on Friday.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New London-Spicer, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Litchfield has already played their next game (against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for New London-Spicer, they will host Rockford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Rockets have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
