Volleyball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Christian School. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against American Christian School this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14.

American Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexandra Rim led the charge by getting seven assists and four aces. Another player making a difference was Layla Fernandez, who had five kills and two aces.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for American Christian School, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Faith Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American Christian School, they will square off against Abundant Life Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
