Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Prep's Loss Ends 15-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Hillcrest Prep was feeling good fresh off their 115-31 takedown of Varsity Opponent last Sunday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hillcrest Prep Bruins took a hard 78-62 fall against the Eduprize Open Eagles on Saturday.

It was another big night for Aj Thomas, who posted 41 points for Eduprize Open. Thomas' afternoon made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Andre Thomas was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Hillcrest Prep's loss ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-2. As for Eduprize Open, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

Hillcrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eduprize Open, they will venture away from home to take on AZ Compass Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Eduprize Open is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 92.4 points per game this season.
