Volleyball Recap: Asheville Christian Academy Takes Down Arendell Parrott Academy in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Asheville Christian Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. The Lions were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Patriots, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Asheville Christian Academy took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-15.

Asheville Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Rachel Bass, who had 13 digs and two aces. Bass has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Bass wasn't the only good servers: Asheville Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Asheville Christian Academy's record now sits at 22-2. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-8.

Coming up, Asheville Christian Academy will be playing at home against Davidson Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Arendell Parrott Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
