Basketball Recap: Laterryon Lee's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kelvyn Park over Intrinsic

Kelvyn Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. The match between them and the Intrinsic Mustangs didn't end well, with the Kelvyn Park Panthers falling 61-46. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Kelvyn Park lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Laterryon Lee, who posted 17 points. That's the most points Lee has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Rodriguez Monterroso, who put up 15 points.

Intrinsic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Israel Paredes led the charge by putting up 18 points. Angel Munoz was another key player, posting 16 points.

Kelvyn Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Intrinsic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Kelvyn Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-63 victory against Juarez on the 10th. As for Intrinsic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-27 loss against Foreman on the 10th.
