Softball Recap: Westosha Central Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Westosha Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Union Grove Broncos 14-12. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won six in a row.

Abigail Plapp and Addison Feekes did most of the damage at the plate: Plapp fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5, while Feekes got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and four runs. Those four runs gave Feekes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colbie LeQuesne, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Westosha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Westosha Central now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Union Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-4.

Westosha Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against South Milwaukee on the 2nd. As for Union Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Muskego on the 4th.
