Basketball Game Preview: Parsons Vikings vs. Southeast Lancers

The Parsons Vikings will take on the Southeast Lancers in a tournament on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Parsons is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a blow against Neodesha on Tuesday, falling 70-39. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Southeast was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 26-25 to Riverton. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Parsons' loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Southeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Parsons beat Southeast 27-16 in their previous meeting back in January of 2017. Does Parsons have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
