Marcellus entered their tilt with Lawrence on Monday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 15 runs.

The team relied heavily on Abram Coffey, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Brock McWilliams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Marcellus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence only posted a batting average of .176.

Marcellus pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Lawrence, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
