Basketball Recap: Vail Christian Saints vs. Rangely Panthers
Vail Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 67-18 defeat at the hands of the Rangely Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Panthers are ranked 54th).
Miah Wren continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rangely, going 10 for 21 to rack up 28 points and seven steals. Wren is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Ashlynn Ducey was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and six steals.
Vail Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Rangely, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.
