North Henderson hadn't beaten A.C. Reynolds on the road since August 22, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Rockets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since September 24, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day North Henderson got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-28, 15-9.

De'Asia Watkins paced North Henderson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Watkins got some help from Katie Ruminski and her 21 assists. Avery C. Capps controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win made it two in a row for North Henderson and bumps their season record up to 10-16. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-19 East Henderson and 7-15 A.C. Reynolds. As for A.C. Reynolds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

North Henderson has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hayesville on the 27th. As for A.C. Reynolds, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against East Henderson on the 27th.
