Baseball Recap: Gunnison Takes a Loss

Gunnison and Peak to Peak squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Gunnison had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pumas, falling 7-1. The Cowboys were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Pumas' pitchers proved too tough.

Gunnison moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Peak to Peak, their record now sits at 14-10.

Gunnison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peak to Peak, they will square off against Coal Ridge at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Pumas surely won't give up without a fight.
