Recap: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Adairsville Tigers
It was a good run, but the Bremen Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adairsville. Bremen lost against Adairsville in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 14-7 score last time.
Leading Adairsville to victory were Jonathan Gough and Tre Winters. Gough threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, while Winters picked up 213 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Winters' longest reception was for an incredible 98 yards.
Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Adairsville, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen will square off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Adairsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Coahulla Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
