Fishers had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hamilton Southeastern Royals on Wednesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-1 victory on May 1st.

Reid Garber looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Mayo Fernandez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Fishers is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hamilton Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.

Coming up, Fishers will square off against Zionsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Southeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
