Izzy Stoodley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Bellows Falls got a massive performance out of Cadence James, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave James a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brielle Mulverhill, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Bellows Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .732. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Oxbow strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Lyndon Institute get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.
The result came thanks to Anastase Bourgeois's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maisy Frydman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Osgood, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bellows Falls' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Oxbow, their record is now 11-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bellows Falls has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Oxbow struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bellows Falls might still be hurting after the 37-2 defeat they got from Oxbow in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Terriers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
