Soccer Recap: Norco Comes Up Short

Norco entered their contest against Roosevelt on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Norco Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Mustangs. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Norco's goal came courtesy of Abraham Garcia, who's now up to eight this season.

Norco's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 7-2-5. As for Roosevelt, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 6-4-5.

Norco has already played their next match (against Santiago), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Roosevelt will square off against Corona at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Corona's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three games.
