Basketball Recap: Logan Skates Past Tucumcari with Ease

Logan put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 73-44 victory over the Tucumcari Rattlers. Fans of the Longhorns have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Logan was led to victory by Hayden Bruhn and Mason Wallin. Bruhn dropped a double-double on 19 points and 19 rebounds, while Wallin dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The contest was Wallin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Diego Sanchez, who posted 16 points.

Logan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Logan's record is now 5-0. As for Tucumcari, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Logan will head out on the road to square off against Roy/Mosquero at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Logan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Roy/Mosquero likes a good challenge. Tucumcari and East Mountain will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
